We have a whole YEARS worth of new art. Oh yes we do. Why hasn't it made an appearance before now? Because some of us are busy watching hummingbirds and counting clouds, that's why.

Ahem.

A few delights for you. All of these are from our new line of cards. Like 'em? They'll soon be in our new etsy shop (which we have yet to load up with treasures). Not promising when. But we love etsy and wanna play.

<img src="http://www.duirwaigh.com/images/nodreamer_w.jpg" alt="" width="44 [read more...]

I know it's going to come as a staggering surprise. Seriously, most of you will choke on this information, but I must confess here and now: I am not much of a camper. The mountains? Forest? River? Dig 'em. Open sky? Stars? Yum. But gimme a comfy mattress and a mosquitoless, sweat-free zone before you ask me to pack up my weenies and smores and follow thee to the Great Wide Out There.

But thanks to the brilliance that is the Stephanie, Silas and Angi triangle, we have figured out the PER [read more...]

For those who are interested here it is.
"Though the artwork of husband and wife team Duirwaigh (pronounced “door-way”) is hard to describe, it is anything but hard to fall in love with. Through a blend of mixed-media, typography and traditional poster art, Silas Toball & Angi Sullins create some of the most beautiful and inspiring work I have seen.

Moving along (in reverse) to catch you up on our adventures during and since the the wedding.

Stephanie arrived at our house a week ago. She's in need of soul resuscitation, and, as a result, our adobe has been the cauldron of much love, magic and friendship. We've been up the mountain and through the valley, to the river and around the gorge. It's been pure pleasure. (More on that later...there's a ski lift, hot sticky goodness and birdie num nums involved).

I take great co [read more...]

So, I'm sure you've heard along the enchanted grapevine that Silas and I have recently wed. Up and did the legal thing, in such a glorious way I might add. More than a handful of friends and relations have asked us about our last name. Will I take his? Will he (le gasp!) take mine? This discussion lasted all of 7 seconds, as both of us are attached to our last names. The only fair and reasonable thing, should we want less hassle at airports and other buerocratic institutions, would be to adop [read more...]

In fact, on March 6th, we were driving through Taos, having recently just arrived back from our nightmare of a flooded house in Kennesaw, truly spent and utterly in need of some inspiration. Today I'm packing up life in cardboard boxes, time to move. I marvel at the ways passion and devotion can equate accumulation: books, records, ticket stubs, playbills, love letters, photographs, receipts for purchases both large and small.

I've spent ten years in th [read more...]

My body was fairly miserable but my heart leaped with glee.

We wanted to make sure we had captured the graveyard in winter, so as to add to our project Guardian: Cemeteries and Their Sentinels (seen here: http [read more...]

Alexander McQueen certainly does.

These frolicsome frocks make me want my own catwalk. Can you feel the sashay?

While some of you are aware that we've been in Georgia since mid-December, addressing a Series of Colossal Blessings disguised as Series of Unfortunate Events, what many of you don't know is that we spent the fall creating new art.

Typically July - November is the busiest time of year for us, as most of our publishing partners are asking for art they can launch the following year.
