Introducing Silver Metal Mantras! Angi's new Duir-inspired line of jewelry. All pieces are HAND CRAFTED in the USA --not mass produced in China, so you are getting a true original, each created individually by a silversmith. Sterling silver and 14K gold are the only metals used.

Angi describes the inspiration:
I love words, especially those with spirit, essence. I long ago gave up on the idea of tatoos, for if I started with my favorite quotes I'd have run of skin by puberty. So I started wearing inscribed jewelry and laughingly referred to them as "my silver tatoos"--they don't age,  fade, wrinkle or require needle application. And if one reminds you of an old flame it's removable without surgery. When people started asking me where I got them I passed out business cards of the artist, but soon I was fielding requests for quotes from my writing and films. So finally, the two inspirations meet. On the body.

I named them Silver Metal Mantras for the meaning of each word:

Metal - met·al:
1.    such a substance in its pure state
2.    the state of being set in type
3.    basic character; mettle.
4.    also, mettle: courage and fortitude

Mantra - man·tra:
1.    a word or formula, as from the Veda, chanted or sung as a prayer
2.    sacred verbal formula repeated in meditation or incantation such as an invocation of a god, a magic spell, or a syllable or portion of scripture containing mystical potentialities.

In a world where current events, politics and news-on-the-street can distract you from your true essence, leading the mind to forgetfulness and the heart to despair, it's more important than ever to remember who you are! Like the Tibetan Prayer Wheels which allow the wearer to be physically mindful of their prayers, sending them out into the world with a spin of the wheel, Silver Metal Mantras allow each wearer to touch their truth and remember their essence.
