Oh yeah! Once again Amber Lotus has joined with Duirwaigh to create the official Knock at the Door wall calendar. The 2010 calendar features more artwork and quotes from the film, along with new musings and poems by Knock at the Door creator Angi (that's me).

Silas and I worked diligently to pick twelve images that would cohesively create an atmosphere of sumptuousness and delight. Once again Silas produced a delectable design so each page is rich with detail and heavy with mood, inviting the viewer to pause during their day/week/month for the muse who inevitably comes knocking at the duir.

Oh! And the many, many fans who've written in praise of "Rise" (Silas's original painting of a phoenix rising)? Notice it's included in this calendar for September!

Alright all you Guardians fans! Get your cloaks on and get ready for the processional, for GUARDIAN: the 2010 calendar is now available!

I ask, because we've been inundated for four years to make our film Guardian: Cemeteries and their Sentinels available as an art book. Grateful! is what we are for your enthusiastic support, encouragement and harassment. And until we can secure a book deal we feel confident will produce the kind of lavish attention to detail the art warrants, we offer our film for free viewing on this website and now, officially, have our first product to offer! Amber Lotus has published the 2010 calendar and has honored Guardian's lush, lyrical figures with a glorious off-set lithographic printing. From over 900 photographs of Eastern European cemeteries and their sentinels, Silas and I selected twelve of our favorite images. Oi! This was a difficult process and we only let out our collectively held breaths when we discovered the calendar would be an ongoing series! So fans will be able to indulge new photographs year after year! Hooray!

We're happy. And drooling. And we think you will too.

I'm sure you've noticed the many changes taking place at Duirwaigh. It's no secret. We want to live in color. Live loud. Live joyously. And we're encouraging you to do the same. Aimee, our duir-friend and fellow delight conspirator, was so excited about one of our projects she squealed "but how are we gonna contain the joy?" And I said "We're not."
