We'd like to give a shout out to the creators of Sommerset Digital Studio! Not only do the publish a smashingly beautiful magazine, but they have included us! The fall edition features two articles on Duirwaigh, the first spotlighting our jazzy line "Live Out Loud." DS does a really scrumptious printing job, so the colors are luscious. I'm sorry to say we're misspelled on the cover and one of our pieces inside is incorrectly credited to another artist, but hey! Everything is is entirely nummy, so who's gonna gripe?

Me! That's who!

Just kidding. If you've never checked out this magazine do yourself a favor. I buy it even when we're not in it 'cuz it's just jam packed full of goodness and I, for one, relish any opportunitiy to indulge inspiration and get my creative juices flowing. There are fantastic artists and projects in here!

The second article is an interview with Silas and myself, focusing on our plurk and process, with special emphasis on our new website and modern tech-savvy details on CSS and CMS. If you've ever wondered how we create together or what we feed our mouse,  then read this article. Full of juicy facts and playful tidbits -- even a few Photoshop tips for your cyber artists.

Digital Studio hits stores September 1st!

Yo! This is so freakin' fun! We just got our inventory of bamboo prints in from Tree Free, who licenses some of our best images for really incredible prints. They're deliciously scrumptious, the colors just pop right off the print!

From the printer:

The museum quality giclee bamboo prints are 11"x14", archival matted around eco-friendly bamboo paper.  Each print is created with a giclee process. Giclee printing is the very best fine art printing method currently available in th eworld. It uses superior dyes and inks that lock in the true colors of the original work of art. The colors are bright and crisp and will last up to 300 years without fading. The quality of giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries and photographic galleries.

And lemme tell ya folks, they ain't whistlin' Dixie! These rival the prints I've seen at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. We just adore that they're printed on eco-friendly bamboo paper, helping to save trees worldwide. They make fantastic Christmas presents, as well as birthday, anniversary, graduation, get well or just-cause gifts. The messages are inspirational, hopeful, uplifting and TOO GOOD AND TRUE!

You can view the entire line here.

Guardian 2010 calendarYou've asked for it, we've done it!  We now have a "Guardian" gallery! In addition to our 2010 Guardian calendar, we've added twelve more images (these to be seen on next years 2011 calendar) and soon prints will follow. So many of you have asked for a book of this film and while we'd love to produce it, the publishers we've talked to are very conservative with their bucks right now (and who could blame them?). We're still hoping that your enthusiastic support will lead to a book deal, so if you love this project as much as we do, drop a line of encouragement and support on our...

new...

Guardian Facebook page! Oh yes, here is where you can show your love and pass the word along to friends, romans and countrymen. Not on facebook? No problem! We've also created a section on our forum where you can leave your comments and show your support. This kind of show-and-tell enthusiasm could lead to a published book, so don't hold back! Tell your friends! It's such a beautiful, romantic product. In my humble opinion, the world needs more beauty like this, honoring the place of transition and the gorgeous, triumphant human spirit!

Our Guardian gallery is located here, and you can order your 2010 Guardian calendar here. While supplies last!

The rumors are true! Silas and I are in the studio hard at plurk on our new Wonderland project entitled, "Go Ask Alice." While I cannot divulge all the details, suffice to say this book will be full of lush, gorgeous illustrations created by Silas and myself. We've been in the studio for weeks and weeks, with more than a few months ahead of us, but we're so excited we need to share. NOW!

Without further adieu, may we introduce Mister White Rabbit...

The book is designed to be a lush art book, but oh-so-much more. Can't spill all the details now, but we will be posting more art as the days go by, so check back!

Also...pssst! You! Yes, YOU! Like this piece? Leave us a comment then dash over to our Go Ask Alice facebook page to show your love! We're taking all the comments from this site and the stats from our facebook page when we go shopping for a publisher this fall.

In the current economy, publishers are leery of risky projects, and while we don't feel Wonderland is a "risk", often publishers will shy away from art-intensive books unless an enthusiastic fan base can be established. Help us to show the industry that there are wonder-fans out there who would love to tip-toe through Wonderland, Duirwaigh-style.

Calling all dreamers, artists, writers, free thinkers, wish makers, secret keepers and daydream believers!

Our journals just arrived. Hooray! I think I've managed to handle all my Christmas shopping in one fell swoop. I'll be giving these gorgeous eco-friendly babies out as gifts and stocking stuffers this year. They're lovely. In fact, I've already started writing in one of my fave journals (Buddha-tude) and I love its size - fits in my purse for easy travel.

Here's the juicy stats from our publishing partner Tree Free:

Our eco-friendly journals are GREEN (hooray for the environment!) with 100% tree-free pages, vegetable based inks and 100% pcw recycled flexi cover board!! Each measures 6"x8" and contains 160 pages of luxuriously smooth, lined, 70lb paper.

But the other best thing? THE PRICE! Where can you get such beauty for $12? And it's the kind of beauty you see again and again as you chart your adventures, hopes and dreams. They make perfect Christmas, graduation, birthday or any-occasion gifts! They're so yummy I wanna start handing them out on the street. Makes me so happy to see our art and inspirational words on such a yummy, healthy product. Hooray!

Join the fun and get your Too Good and True journals now, baby, while they last! The entire line can be viewed here

At long last, our gorgeous canvas prints are here! Selections from our Living Out Loud and Message from the Muse lines are now available as 14"x18" large giclee canvas prints. And the best part? They're ready to hang! No frames, no mats, all you'll need is a hammer and a nail!

When you see these babes in person you'll fall in love. We did! Tree Free has licensed these images for us and prints them - get this - with a giclee printing process estimated to last 300 years! You will not see these babies in second hand stores 40 years from now looking faded and sad. Ohhhhh no! Giclee printing is the very best fine art printing method currently available in the world. It uses superior dyes and inks that lock in the true colors of the original work of art.  The quality of giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries and photographic galleries.

Each museum quality giclee canvas print is mounted on a wood stretcher, ready for immediate display, no framing necessary. Woohoo!
