Ever have one of these? I expect you'd remember it if you did. It's an asiago cheese egg souffle from Panera Bread Company. They make them fresh each morning and lemme tell ya, but 10 a.m. they're sold out, so you gotta get there early.
I'll do just about anything to get one of these, and I mean anything. (Like drive 1600 miles!) There are no Panera stores in New Mexico. Not even in Colorado, four hours away. But there ARE Panera stores-and therefore asiago cheese egg souffles-in Kennesaw, Georgia, just down the street from the Duirwaigh offices.
So what's long and hard, full of pits and totally juicy?* A road trip from Taos, New Mexico to Kennesaw, Georgia! What's even longer and harder? The wait for Mernie and Kim to read this post and realize Silas, Tinky, Izzy and I are at the Panera Bread store down the street, with fresh, hot asiago cheese souflees ready and waiting! Get down here before they're all gone! Time's ticking and they smell wonderful...
*Long, hard trip. Lots of pit stops. Totally juicy, the tail end of the trip and the reunion with family and friends. Just check us out, aren't we grand?
